Wiring diagram of the wind generator controller
Operating principle.

The controller for the Greenchip W4000S wind generator dynamically checks the current and voltage of the battery charging. When the battery is discharged, its resistance is low, and therefore, when charging, a large current (more than 1/10 of its capacity) can flow through it. Therefore, in the initial cycle of battery charging, the controller makes sure that the current does not exceed 1/10 of the battery capacity. As the battery charges, the resistance of the battery increases, the current decreases, and the voltage across the battery begins to rise.

The current adjustment would not be complete if we only regulated the battery charging current, imagine this situation we charge the battery for 60 amperes, the charging current accordingly set 6 amperes (1/10 capacity) everything is fine, but then we wanted to connect an inverter on the battery and he began to discharge the battery with a current of 13 amperes, it turns out that our battery, instead of being charged, will be discharged with a current of 7 amperes. Therefore, the controller implements control of the discharge current, when the wind generator controller sees that the external load (Inverter) consumes 13 amperes as in our case, then the controller increases the current from the wind generator to 19 amps, it turns out 6 amperes will go to the battery and 13 amps to the inverter.

The controller for the wind turbine monitors that the voltage does not rise above the limit set in the menu. If the current or voltage exceeds the established norms, then the excess energy is thrown off to the ballast. All the excess energy generated by the wind turbine is redirected by the controller to the ballast (they can be heating elements whose power should be greater than the power of the wind turbine).

Important: The ballast must be selected so that when the battery is charged, the controller can load the wind turbine, otherwise it will run out of gear.
