Ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04 - is a sensor that measures the distance to obstacles in the range from 2 to 450 cm. He is a board on which are placed the transmitter and receiver of ultrasound, as well as the control circuitry .

Sensor HC-SR04 has a small size and simple interface - two power leads, one input and one output:

  • VCC: "+" power
  • TRIG (T): The output of the input signal
  • ECHO (R): The output of the output signal (signal length depends on the distance of the object to the sensor)
  • GND: "-" Power

How it works Ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04 is based on the reflection of sound from an obstacle. Operation of the device can be divided into 4 stages:

  • 1. Send a pulse duration of 10 ms to output Trig.
  • 2. Inside rangefinder input pulse is converted to 8 pulses of 40 KHz and sent forward through the "T glazik"
  • 3. Sent pulses reach the obstacle is recognized, accepted and then "R glazik." Obtain the output on pin Echo.
  • 4. The received signal is converted to a simple formula in the distance to the object.
