Welcome to the spot welding section. Here you can find equipment and accessories for spot welding. Now a few words about spot welding:

Spot contact welding is a welding process in which parts are connected at one or simultaneously at several points. Spot welding is a type of resistance welding, therefore, its technology is based on the thermal effect of electric current according to the Joule-Lenz law and the compression force of the parts to be welded. During the welding process, current flows from one electrode to another through the metal of the workpieces. Resistance spot welding electrodes are made of alloys with high electrical conductivity so that the resistance at the electrode-workpiece contact is minimal. Therefore, in the places of part-part contacts, the greatest heating occurs due to the greatest value of electrical resistance. Heating and melting of the metal under the action of an electric current leads to the formation of a cast core of a welded spot, the diameter of which is usually 4–12 mm [2]. A distinction is made between soft and hard spot welding. Soft mode is characterized by a longer welding time and smooth heating of workpieces with moderate amperage, with a current density on the working surface of the electrode usually not exceeding 100 A / mm²

Hard mode of spot welding is characterized by a short duration of welding time, higher than in soft mode, current values and significant compressive pressure of the electrodes. Current densities reach 120-300 A / mm² when welding steel.
