MATEK VTX 6-36V Video Transmitter, 1.2 GHz, 1.3 GHz

Caution: It is NOT RECOMMENDED to use channel 1 (1080 MHz), because the use of this channel coincides with the operating frequency of the ADS-B transponders (1090 MHz) of the piloted aircraft. ADS-B transponders are used for airborne identification as well as in the TCAS airborne collision warning system.

Setting:

Button A sets the transmit power: 0 (blue LED) = 0.1 mW, 1 = 25 mW. 2=200 mW, 3=800 mW.

Press and hold button B for 2 seconds to enter the frequency setting. The frequency indicator will start flashing.

Press button B to select the frequency (in US 2CH version only 1258 and 1280 can be selected)

While the LED is flashing, the transmitter is not working.

The new frequency and the transmitter will be activated if no button is pressed for 3 seconds.

Control from flight controller

Connect "RX" to any free UART-TX of the flight controller, enable "VTX (Tramp) protocol" on the appropriate UART.

Copy and paste the following command into the CLI of BF4.1 or later.

vtxtable bands 2

vtxtable channels 8

vtxtable band 1 1G3_A A 1080 1120 1160 1200 1240 1280 1320 1360

vtxtable band 2 1G3_B B 1080 1120 1160 1200 1258 1280 1320 1360

vtxtable powerlevels 3

vtxtable powervalues 25 200 800

vtxtable powerlabels 25 200 800

When the flight controller sends a control command to the transmitter, the button will stop working.
