The lithium battery for electric bicycle 48V 10Ah is assembled in a 2mm thick textolite case. To place the battery on the bike, a bag or sturdy case must be used. The size of the sides of the battery can be customized. The battery has an XT60 connector for connecting to the controller and a charging connector.
The battery is assembled on original cells, using a BMS electronic control board that protects the battery from short circuits and monitors the charge level on each cell. When discharging, the board disconnects the lithium battery if the discharge level of any of the cells drops to 2.5 Volts. When charging, the board disconnects the battery when the voltage level on a cell reaches 4.2 Volts. The life expectancy of a lithium-ion battery is about 4-5 years.
The operating temperature of the lithium battery is from -20 to +40 C°. The maximum capacity of the battery gives out at a temperature of +25 C°. At lower temperatures, the capacity and mileage of the electric bicycle decreases. At -10 C° the capacity is about 70% of the maximum. In storage mode, when the battery has not been used for a month or more, it is recommended to store the battery half discharged in a cool, dry place.
The battery can be supplied with a charger and bag as an option. The battery should be charged at temperatures not lower than +10 and not higher than +35 C°. Failure to comply with this recommendation can lead to a sharp loss of battery capacity. Also, it is not recommended to completely discharge the battery, it leads to accelerated wear of the battery. Therefore, the battery can be charged without waiting for full discharge.
