DJI O3 Air Unit Video System (Digital)
The DJI O3 Air Unit is the top-of-the-line solution that replaces the previously released DJI Digital FPV System. The new digital FPV system is built on flagship video technology and offers pilots the next level of FPV piloting and filming with an FPV drone, combining long-range, high-definition video streaming with low latency and improved video quality.
The O3 Air Unit camera measures 21.2 x 20 x 19.5 mm - the same as in the DJI Avata. The module is equipped with a 48-megapixel 1/1.7" (7.6x5.7mm) sensor with a fixed aperture of F2.8 and an ultra-wide angle of view of 155 °. It can shoot videos at resolutions up to 4K/60p, and the D- Cinelike color mode gives users more flexibility in video post-processing.
The data transmission system measures 32.5 × 30.5 × 14.5 mm and weighs 36 g. It is built on the DJI O3+ system and uses omnidirectional antennas built into the air module to transmit 1080/100p H.265 video with a bit rate of up to 50 Mbps. Video transmission is capable of covering a distance of up to 10 km with a latency of only 30 milliseconds, using its anti-interference technologies to keep the pilot in touch.
The O3 unit is compatible with the DJI FPV Goggles V2, which comes with the DJI FPV drone, and the Goggles 2, which comes with the Avata. The latter features a touchscreen, replaceable foam cushioning to reduce light reflection, and built-in diopters that can be adjusted from +2.0 to -8.0. It is also compatible with the DJI FPV Remote Controller 2, which allows users to fly in manual (M) mode.
